I’m going to be home in a month. Travelling is brilliant but settling over here long term, an idea that I’d flirted with before leaving Oz, has turned out to be a tad unrealistic, for me anyway. It’s a bloody long way to come and it’s not been easy being away from my family. Now I’ve made the decision to return home, I feel a lot more settled and am enjoying the travelling I’m doing even more. Before I go home I’m heading to London, Paris and Tokyo, along with a couple of other little trips. Not a bad effort at all really!
I don’t have any new music to share with you because I haven’t been downloading anything or buying much in the way of music.
In the meantime though, check out this little ditty from Wild Sweet Orange – it’s a goody.

You better come home soon, the house is a mess. Wait…that’s MY house, not yours. Disregard.
Glad to hear (and read) you are having a great time!

Chris – thanks for the good wishes! I’m not very neat, your place is probably a palace compared to mine!
JC – I did make it to Scotland actually, briefly, only to Edinburgh and Inverness though. Was a bit of a flying visit in the end and a combination of events in Inverness actually led to me realising that Oz is where I need to be! Loved what I saw of Scotland though, absolutely beautiful country.
Marcy – Before I left I never actually realised what a big deal it was to come all this way by myself, but I have now! It’s pretty incredible though to be in a completely new place and to explore it all alone. Can be a bit lonely too though – it has both good and bad points I guess. Thank you for your lovely words, I really appreciate them!

I had the feeling that you would be gone a bit longer, but that distance is a bastard isn’t it? Its unfathomable until you do it. And then its still unfathomable.

CDV – I had planned to be longer but you’re right – you can’t prepare yourself for how far it is until you do it. I seriously don’t know how you do it Chris, but you have my utmost admiration.
Tart – that’s lovely to hear, thank you! This time next month…

Agnes, I have felt a kinship with you and your blog because you lived out in the country like I do. We both take photos and write about our animals, the ever-changing sky, and the great outdoors around us. So, while adventuring and considering different options is a great thing to do, I am selfishly glad you are going back home. 🙂
