i know the feeling! can’t wait to hear all about it, and that’s definitely something i’ll be able to mention to him when i foist myself upon him next week. (i mean foist as is introduce, not anything unladylike!).
Foisting? I think foisting is more than appropriate in extreme circumstances such as I found myself in!
Marcy – Just ask him if he remembers two girls (myself and Elspeth) on the slightly gushy, but ever so suave and sophisticated side.
Chutney – hello there, good to see you! I probably did see your friend Carmel, but I’m not sure who she might be. Was she in the crowd? Or was she the merch girl who laughed indulgently at us while we got our shirts signed perhaps.
Tart – He’s a pretty friendly bloke and I’m sure he wouldn’t mind a bit of foisting, Chicago style!
JC – a few people did buy him beers I think and position them strategically at the front of the stage which I think he appreciated! I totally agree, he’s definitely created something pretty bloody special.
FiL – isn’t he! Introduced himself to us and everything, like we didn’t know who he was! Just lovely. Completely with you on the solid gold statement! He’s a top bloke (the absolute PINNACLE of Aussie praise!)
They played at the rockin’ Northcote Social Club, which I actually expected to be an RSL-type place (the pokies, a bistro etc.) but it was just a pub. Good venue, will definitely go back there again.
It was the perfect venue actually – there were just enough people there for it to seem full, but not overcrowded. We were up the back but could see everything, it was so good!

He is a lovely bloke. I chatted to him when they played Vancouver. Did I say lovely? I meant to say that he’s absolute, 24K solid gold.
