When you’re down in the dumps and in despair over whatever misfortune fate has dealt you today, spare a thought for this guy.
John Loughrey has attended every day of the inquest into Princess Diana’s death. He rises every day at 5am in order to arrive at the court house at 7am, two hours before it opens, to ensure that he gets a seat. Every night before he goes to bed, his sister paints the words ‘Diana’ and ‘Dodi’ on his forehead, which means he has to sleep on his back so that it doesn’t smudge during the night.
‘I have always been a Diana fan and last year I woke up one day and decided to paint her name on my forehead – it just felt right’.
So you see…things could always be worse.
