My first taste of The National was a random download of ‘All The Wine’. Back in January 2008 I wrote about listening to it for the first time as I walked down the street to the shops:
I think a couple of people mistook me for a crazy person as I ambled along the footpath grinning like an idiot and chuckling to myself, but what did I care? I had just discovered The National.

I’ve only just discovered these guys and am definetly liking what I’m hearing.

Ohh sometimes I wish I could go back to those early days when I was only just discovering them myself! I’ve devoured all I can find and am now waiting impatiently for their new album. Then again, there is something comforting about spending time with your old favourites.

I love; LOVE All The Wine by The National. It’s such a feel-good song, & there’s hardly any of that anymore these days.
The National are so great though.
