Oh joy of joys – a music festival hitting up country Victoria! It’s called Groovin’ The Moo (yeah, I have no idea what the hell that means either) and the lineup includes both Aussie and international bands. Even though The Living End are listed as headliners, for me there is but one band that stands above the rest – the sublime Okkervil River. Three shows only in May – Townsville QLD, Maitland SA and Bendigo, VIC with tickets on sale from tomorrow.
In addition to Okkervil River (USA) and The Living End (AUS), bands listed include Little Birdy (AUS), Architecture in Helsinki (AUS), The Grates (AUS), The Drones (AUS) and international acts such as Christer (Canada) and The Twelves (Brazil) and more, with additional bands still to be added.
O Dana (Big Star Cover) – Okkervil River
Beautiful To Me – Little Birdy
Prisoner Of Society – The Living End
Works For Me – The Twelves This is so totally not my usual thing, but I love it!
Friendly moo cow from here.
Where the hell is Maitland, SA. I must find it. I have a feeling it is way the hell out in the sticks.
Two hours from Adelaide. Totally doable! And oh, so worth it.
The BA is gutted that OR are playing Maitland of all places! If you want to go AFM I am sure she would be a willing passenger!!
