It’s a simple idea, where I post songs that all have one thing in common – the letter that they begin with. Original? Not at all. Pointless? Probably.
Having said that though, every song is highly recommended and should be checked out by your good self immediately!
Regular readers may be aware that I’ve been lapping up DeVotchKa’s latest A Mad and Faithful Telling and am still wrapped up in their romantic gypsy vibe.
Canada’s New Pornographers are playing at Melbourne’s The Corner in October. This track comes from their latest release ‘Challengers’.
These guys are from Iowa but that’s about as much as I know about them. The old school opening guitar riff on this track is very cool and a good ooooh-ooooh sing-a-long is always a winner in my book.
Upper Darby – The Poison Control Centre
This one is a slow burning tale of regret that I’d forgotten I had. Strings, xylophones and a little bit of synth action from this DIY bedroom music maker.
